About Me

“You can get everything in life you want if you will just help enough other people get what they want.” ~Zig Ziglar

I am a passionate community architect, technologist, marketer, and speaker who loves discovering and promoting extraordinary talents and abilities in fascinating people. Adding value to the relationships of my clients, audience, friends and family is very important to me.

Be sure to ping me on Twitter at @KevinLyons

Some of the ways I have fed my entrepreneurial passion through the years is through helping small businesses and ministries develop their secret sauce, launching multiple start-up organizations, building communities, developing the infrastructure of the largest and most successful business seminars in the world, and coaching organizations and personalities how to interact with their audience.

I love people and communities. I have even lived with hippies in the woods at one time, but that’s a whole other story. I gravitate towards social media communities and events like BarCamp conferences, Foursquare Day, TEDx seminars, and Ignite presentations. I am currently fascinated at the depth of knowledge, experience and wisdom found in the interesting people on Twitter chats like #BlogChat, #BrandChat, #SmallBizChat, and #SMChat. I have helped produce many live events in both ministry and business. I enjoy crowds. I enjoy people.

I implement strategies both strategically and tactically for my clients. My “go to” tactical tools usually involve open-source platforms like Drupal, WordPress, vTiger, MySQL, and sometimes Joomla. I try to hide some of my skills like graphic design, video production, writing, publishing, and live event production but I can’t seem to completely stay away from them. I am a hands-on guy.

I am a Christian. I am a husband. I am a dad. I am a musician, worship leader, have served as a kid’s church pastor, and have shook hands with one sitting President and two former Presidents but I doubt they know me.

I look forward to hearing about you!  Thanks for visiting.
